President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Adeniyi Adewale Bashir, has praised Team Nigeria following their dominant performance at the 15th African Wrestling Championships.

Nigeria emerged overall winners in the women’s category, securing an impressive eight gold medals and two silver medals out of the ten available—marking a record 15th continental title.

“This is outstanding,” Bashir said.

According to the federation president, the achievement reflects Nigeria’s continued dominance in African wrestling and the effectiveness of its development programs.

“We are leading the continent,” he implied.
