The Colorado Rockies have confirmed that their game against the New York Mets on Monday has been moved forward due to expected inclement weather.
The team confirmed the news on Sunday afternoon following reports of potential snow and rain downpour that could hit Coors Field in Denver for the series opener.Â
The game had initially been scheduled to begin at 8:40pm, however, the Rockies have since confirmed that it’s been pushed up to 5:40pm due to the weather concerns.Â
It remains to be seen whether further changes will be made to the schedule for the series, with near-freezing temperatures set to last throughout the week.Â
The two teams are slated to play the middle game of the series on Tuesday night, before a series finale currently scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.Â
The Rockies confirmed that all tickets purchased for the game on May 4 will remain valid for the rescheduled start time.
