FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 27 April, including the latest updates on Rafael Leao, Ederson and Mika Godts.
Man Utd send scouts to watch Leao
Manchester United are understood to have sent scouts to watch Rafael Leao during Milan’s match against Juventus this weekend in anticipation of a summer move.
Milan have opened the door for Leao’s departure this summer and could be willing to cash in on the forward for €50-60 million, according to CalcioMercato.
It is claimed that United ‘are making a move’ for Leao and sent an emissary to ‘closely monitor’ Leao’s performance, with Barcelona also said to be interested.
United are keen to sign a left-winger this summer and could turn to Leao as an option if they miss out on RB Leipzig wonderkid Yan Diomande.
Chelsea and Arsenal eye new Eden Hazard
Arsenal and Chelsea are said to have been left in awe after watching a player dubbed the ‘new Eden Hazard’ who is set to make a big money transfer this summer.
Scouts from a number of Premier League sides were understood to have been at Ajax’s 2-0 win over NAC Breda this weekend in which winger Mika Godts scored a contender for goal of the season with an individual piece of brilliance.
Godts has been a standout performer for Ajax this season and the Dutch side are believed to have already started exploring their options over a replacement amid strong interest from Europe’s top sides.
According to TEAMtalk, Arsenal scouts were present at the match, having tracked the Belgian closely in recent months, with Godts emerging as a ‘serious candidate’ to be targeted in the summer after ‘stunning’ club representatives, with Chelsea also impressed.
Trabzonspor to negotiate over permanent Onana transfer
Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan has confirmed that he would like to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana on a permanent deal during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Man Utd had initially been expected to struggle in their bid to offload Onana this summer, but Trabzonspor have been suitably impressed by his form since joining them on loan last year and they are keen to finalise a permanent transfer during the window.
That is according to club president Dogan, who spoke to local outlet NTV Spor after Onana saved three penalties during a shootout win over Samsunspor in the Turkish Cup quarter-finals.
“Onana’s career is already established,” he said (via The Mirror). “We like him. I’ve said this before. He has a certain plan for his career. If the conditions are right, we want him to stay. The final decision will be Onana’s.”
Man Utd in Ederson talks
Manchester United are reportedly in talks with the representatives of Atalanta midfielder Ederson ahead of a possible summer swoop.
The Brazil international has been on Man Utd’s radar for several years and they are reportedly ready to bring him to Old Trafford ahead of the 2026-27 season as they look to add several reinforcements to their first-team squad.
That is according to transfer reporter Ben Jacobs, who posted on X: “Atalanta’s Ederson is a name on Manchester United’s midfield shortlist, as revealed earlier this month. Arsenal are also keeping tabs.
“Atalanta value Ederson around €50m and MUFC have made contact with the player side. Manchester United are looking to sign two midfielders this summer with Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte potentially to be sold.”
