FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed he will seek re-election as head of world football’s governing body, while also addressing concerns surrounding Iran’s participation at the upcoming World Cup.

Speaking at the close of the FIFA Congress in Vancouver, Infantino made his intentions clear about continuing in the role.
“I want to continue,” he said.
According to the FIFA chief, his decision to run again is driven by a desire to build on ongoing reforms and projects within global football.
“There is more to do,” he implied.
Infantino’s tenure has seen significant changes in the structure and expansion of tournaments, and he believes continuity is important for progress.
“We are moving forward,” he noted.
