FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 29 April, including the latest updates on Eli Kroupi, Anthony Gordon and Eduardo Camavinga.
Arsenal enter Kroupi race
Arsenal are one of numerous clubs keeping a close eye on Eli Kroupi’s development at Bournemouth, eSPORTY reports.
The French teenager is enjoying a remarkable first season of Premier League football, scoring 11 goals for the Cherries so far this term. Kroupi is attracting interest from various Premier League giants, including Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd.
Arsenal are the latest club to be linked, but Bournemouth are reluctant sellers. Kroupi does not have a release clause, so the Cherries can dictate his price tag, which is likely to be closer to €100 million than €50m.
Gordon race heats up
The race to sign Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon is heating up, with Chelsea now also among the clubs interested in the England star, The Athletic has confirmed.
Gordon is believed to be open to a move to a bigger club this summer, but Newcastle do not want to lose him on the cheap. It is now being claimed that the St. James’ Park club could demand as much as €92m.
Bayern Munich and Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the versatile attacker in recent weeks. For Chelsea, a deal is only expected to become a concrete possibility if they qualify for the Champions League.
Real Madrid won’t force Camavinga to leave
Real Madrid are open to suitable offers for Eduardo Camavinga, but they won’t actively force the midfielder out of the club, Fabrizio Romano states.
The France international has been the subject of intense speculation following reports that Real Madrid could sell him. Clubs like Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool are said to have expressed an interest in the midfielder.
However, Romano insists that Camavinga is not keen to leave Real Madrid, nor are club chiefs actively shopping him around. He will only be sold if a big fee is offered and the player expresses a desire to make the move.
Chelsea interested in Bayern wonderkid
Chelsea and Man City are interested in signing Bayern Munich goalkeeper Leonard Prescott, as per Sky Germany.
The German-American shot-stopper was in the news earlier this year when he looked set to be handed his senior debut in the Champions League due to an injury crisis in Bayern’s goalkeeper department. However, this ultimately did not materialise.
Nevertheless, the 16-year-old is viewed as a huge talent, and Bayern are desperate to tie him down to a new contract beyond 2027. Chelsea and Man City, though, are interested should he opt to move on, even though he wouldn’t be able to relocate to the UK until his 18th birthday in September 2027.
Mbaye interest increasing
Premier League clubs are “stepping up” their interest in PSG youngster Ibrahim Mbaye, CaughtOffside claims.
The Senegal international has struggled for regular minutes since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations and could be on the move this summer. Aston Villa and Chelsea already showed an interest in January.
Numerous other clubs have since joined Mbaye’s list of admirers, including Liverpool. They are “closely evaluating” his situation and could be tempted to make a move in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements.
