Russell Wilson has announced that he and wife Ciara are part of an investment group behind a stunning new luxury resort in Belize.
On Sunday, the Super Bowl champion posted a short reel to Instagram showing off the extravagant resort and what it has to offer.
Wilson wrote alongside it: ‘Welcome Home! Excited about our new Island Resort Venture @CayeChapel in Belize! World Class!’.
The island boasts the Caye Chapel Golf & Ocean Club and a Four Seasons resort that have been combined in a unified community. It is based on a secluded island and boasts of how private it is for guests.
Located on the edge of the world’s second largest barrier reef, guests can enjoy golf, beach clubs, a harbour and even make use of a private airstrip and heliport. It is due to open in 2027.
Wilson’s wife, Ciara, posted in response to the NFL star’s reel: ‘Truly one of the most beautiful places in the world! It doesn’t get any better! Truly thankful.’ Â

It comes amid uncertainty over Wilson’s future in the NFL after he left the New York Giants following just one ill-fated year.
He began last season as the starter but the team drafted Jaxson Dart in the first round and fans were pretty quickly demanding the rookie became their starter after a rocky start.
They got their wish in Week 4 after a 0-3 start and, later in the campaign, Wilson was overlooked for Jameis Winston when Dart entered concussion protocol.
Wilson only signed a one-year deal in New York and is now a free agent, prompting new head coach John Harbaugh to move to pad out his quarterback room.
Earlier this month they signed journeyman quarterback Brandon Allen, who is with his seventh team since being drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016.
On Sunday, Wilson made a special guest appearance with the Savannah Bananas at Yankee Stadium for their game against the Party Animals.
Wilson was an exceptional baseball player when he was younger and even got drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2010. He spent time in the minor leagues before opting to play football.Â
Wilson’s rights later moved to the Texas Rangers and eventually the New York Yankees and he finally stepped out at Yankee Stadium with the Bananas on Sunday.
He came in during the fifth inning, managed to hit the ball but smashed his bat in the process. As Wilson sprinted to first base, he was easily run out.
