Nigerian forward Peter Olayinka has been named Goal of the Month winner for April at APOEL FC, following an impressive run of form for the Cypriot side.

Olayinka earned the award after delivering a standout finish against Omonia FC, a goal widely praised for its quality and composure.
The strike capped off a strong month in which the Super Eagles attacker found the net in consecutive matches.
The 29-year-old continued his fine scoring form most recently in a dramatic 3-3 draw against Pafos FC on April 26, underlining his growing importance to the team since his arrival.
Since joining APOEL on a free transfer in February 2026, Olayinka has quickly established himself as a key figure in the squad.
His impact was also evident earlier in the year when he claimed the club’s Goal of the Month award for February after scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory over Omonia.
On the continental stage, Olayinka remains one of Nigeria’s most experienced players in European competitions.
He shares the record for most UEFA club competition appearances by a Nigerian with Nwankwo Kanu, both having featured in 81 matches.
His latest individual accolade further highlights a resurgent spell in Cyprus, as he continues to play a pivotal role in APOEL’s attacking setup.
