All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Morgan Rogers, Nicolo Tresoldi and Tino Livramento.
Rogers race heats up
Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs who are “serious” about signing Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers, as per eSPORTY.
The England international is likely to leave the Birmingham club this summer, even if they qualify for the Champions League. Villa would prefer to keep him, but they will listen to suitable offers because they know a big sale might be necessary to fund incoming business.
Rogers is keen on a move to an elite club, so he would be willing to join Arsenal, who will sell either Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard this summer. However, the attacker is also open to a transfer abroad, with PSG among his suitors.
Arsenal to bid for Tresoldi
Arsenal are preparing a bid in the region of €30 million for Club Brugge starlet Nicolo Tresoldi, Tuttomercatoweb claims.
It comes after Nicolo Schira reported that the Gunners had sent a scout to watch the Germany youth international in action against Anderlecht earlier this month. The striker produced an assist in that game.
Tresoldi is attracting widespread interest, and a departure from the Belgian giants is likely after just one season. Arsenal have been linked with the 21-year-old Cagliari-born forward for weeks.
Livramento injured again
Newcastle full-back Tino Livramento has potentially played his last game of the season after suffering a fresh injury.
The England international has been sidelined with a groin issue, Magpies boss Eddie Howe has confirmed. This is bad news for the player, but also for Arsenal and Man City, who have made Livramento a key target for the summer.
Injuries have been piling up for the 23-year-old, raising questions over whether he would be worth the high cost of signing him, even if there is no denying that he is an excellent Premier League player when fit.
Tonali wants Serie A return
Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali favours a return to Serie A over a move within the Premier League, TEAMtalk asserts.
The Italy international has been strongly linked with Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd since the final days of the January transfer window, when the Gunners were offered the 25-year-old’s services by his representatives.
Despite strong Premier League interest, Tonali’s priority is a move back to Serie A. Juventus dream of signing him, while Inter are also interested. However, he could actually be set for a return to AC Milan.
As they have done several deals with Newcastle recently, there is a belief that a suitable financial arrangement may be found without requiring the Rossoneri to break the bank.
