Chelsea have announced an additional game to their pre-season fixture schedule.
This summer, Chelsea will play Juventus in a friendly as part of the Hong Kong Football Festival 2026. The Blues will put the finishing touches on pre-season preparations when they face the Italian giants on Wednesday, August 5, at the Kai Tak Stadium.
Before Chelsea jet off to Hong Kong, they will participate in the Sydney Super Cup, playing games at the Accor Stadium in Australia across July and August. On Tuesday, July 28, the west Londoners will face Western Sydney Wanderers before locking horns with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday, August 1.
Then, a few days later, Chelsea will touchdown in Hong Kong to play Juventus. The Blues have described the fixture as ‘an important step in the squad preparations’ ahead of the new Premier League season, which will start two weeks later.
Chelsea haven’t played in Hong Kong since 2011, when they beat local side Kitchee and Aston Villa in the Premier League Asia Cup tournament. In an official statement, the club have announced that the general sale of tickets begins on Thursday, May 14.

It reads: “Official hospitality experiences will be available with Club Chelsea, including matchday hospitality and multi-day passes unlocking unparalleled access to the Blues. Packages will go on pre-sale on Thursday, 7 May, time to be confirmed.
“General admission match tickets for Chelsea versus Juventus in Hong Kong will initially be available via a pre-sale on Wednesday, 13 May, at a time to be confirmed. Supporters eligible for the pre-sale will be contacted by email.

The club have added that ‘additional pre-season games and locations’ will be announced in the ‘coming weeks and months’. In the meantime, Liam Rosenior has been tasked with helping Chelsea qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Following a disappointing defeat to Manchester United at the weekend, the Blues have fallen seven points behind Liverpool in the race for qualification to Europe’s top-flight competition. Speaking to reporters at Cobham on Monday afternoon, the Chelsea boss claimed he remains hopeful.
“We’ve made it very difficult for ourselves,” said Rosenior ahead of the Blues’ clash against Brighton Tuesday night. “We have to be honest and realistic with that. What we can’t do is give up, we keep fighting.
“We have to make sure we go to Brighton with similar attributes to what I saw against Manchester United in terms of our energy and our intensity and engagement to the game, which was good.
“But what we didn’t do is we didn’t keep a clean sheet in the moment and we didn’t take advantage of the chances, so we need to be more clinical and more ruthless in both boxes.”
On how damaging it would be to miss out on Champions League qualification, Rosenior said: “I don’t think you can think like that. I said in a previous press conference, we’ll deal with each situation as it arises.
“At the moment, it’s a difficult task, but we just have to focus on winning the game tomorrow, against, as you said, a very good Brighton team.
“We have to make sure we train very, very well, which we have done today, and we go down to Brighton, but the only focus has to be on winning this game of football.”
