The 33-year-old has been a mainstay for Arne Slot’s side since his arrival from AS Roma in 2018, but his stay at Anfield could be coming to an end this summer as he edges towards a high-profile exit.

Alisson’s current contract at Liverpool isn’t due to expire until 2027, however the Brazil international is eager to leave the club this summer and a deal could be finalised as the Reds look to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.

Football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Juventus have approached Alisson regarding the prospect of a summer switch, having identified the 33-year-old as their dream transfer target amid their pursuit of a new goalkeeper ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

Meanwhile, Italian football reporter Alfredo Pedulla has now revealed that Alisson has said ‘yes’ to joining Juventus this summer, with the Italian giants now expected to engage in advanced negotiations with Liverpool over the coming days.

It’s reported that Alisson has agreed to sign a three-year deal at the Allianz Stadium, which may be in the form of an initial two-year contract with an option for a further 12 months, and Liverpool are set to prioritise the development of Giorgi Mamardashvili if the Brazilian departs.

Alisson worked with Juventus boss Luciano Spaletti during the 2016-17 season at AS Roma and a reunion in Turin could be on the cards when the summer window opens.

Analysis: Would Alisson be a good fit for Juventus?

Despite turning 33 years old in October, Alisson remains one of the best goalkeepers in world football, although his powers have certainly waned over the past 12 months.

Furthermore, injury issues are becoming a real problem, with the Brazilian having missed a total of 63 matches since the start of the 2023-24 season, most of which have been due to hamstring injuries.

As a result, Juventus will need to ensure they have a reliable back-up available if Alisson arrives at the club, but there is no doubting that he would immediately become one of the top shot-stoppers in Serie A.
