Chelsea are on the cusp of a monumental summer transfer window, with the club in need of several high-profile reinforcements following another bitterly disappointing Premier League campaign.
A number of stars will be required to depart in order to fund such business as BlueCo look to oversee yet another squad overhaul before the 2026-27 campaign kicks off.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could leave Chelsea this summer.
Axel Disasi
Axel Disasi was expected to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal last summer, but an agreement couldn’t be reached and after months in the wilderness, he completed a loan move to West Ham United in January.
The Frenchman has immediately become an integral player for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side and it’s understood they want to finalise a transfer if they avoid relegation back down to the Championship.
Even if the Hammers are relegated, Disasi is almost guaranteed to be sold by Chelsea this summer, with the Blues eager to offload a number of their defenders ahead of next season.
Nicolas Jackson
After a promising debut season at Chelsea, Nicolas Jackson was rewarded with a bumper new contract by the Blues hierarchy and it was expected that he would remain at the club for the foreseeable future.
One year later, after his relationship with Enzo Maresca had soured, Jackson was sent on loan to Bayern Munich following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
The Senegal international has unsurprisingly been unable to usurp Harry Kane since moving to Bavaria and although Bayern are unlikely to sign him permanently, Chelsea are still expected to sanction a sale.
Alejandro Garnacho
After weeks of negotiations, Alejandro Garnacho finally joined Chelsea in August, but the deal simply hasn’t worked out.
He featured fairly regularly under Maresca, however he has been unable to establish himself as a guaranteed starter since the appointment of Liam Rosenior and multiple reports have confirmed that Chelsea are open to selling him.
Finding a suitor may be difficult, due to his indifferent form this campaign, but Chelsea are willing to agree a deal ahead of the imminent arrival of Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP.
Liam Delap
Liam Delap also joined Chelsea last summer and his spell at Stamford Bridge has been even worse than Garnacho’s.
To date, he has only scored one Premier League goal for the club and he has been unable to adjust to playing for a bigger club with huge expectations, having impressed during his one season at Ipswich Town.
With Emmanuel Emegha joining from Strasbourg, Delap will fall further down the Chelsea pecking order if a sale isn’t agreed, but an exit could be best for all parties.
Benoit Badiashile
Benoit Badiashile caught the eye during the first six months of his Chelsea career, despite the team’s struggles, but his form and reputation has nosedived significantly since then.
The Frenchman is out of favour under Rosenior and with Jorrel Hato impressing in recent weeks, Badiashile is now the third choice left-footed central defender at Stamford Bridge.
A sale is extremely likely to take place this summer, with Badiashile potentially having already played his final game for the club.
