Celtic of Scotland attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho has gained a rain of accolades from the Glasgow-based club’s coach, Martin O’Neill, following his brace of late goals in their FA Cup semi-final victory over Saint Mirren, Sports247 reports.
Iheanacho got off The Bhoys’ bench to replace Yang Hyun-Jun in the 83rd minute of Sunday’s game at Barclays Hampden Stadium, where his goals in the 96th and 100th minutes of extra time propelled his side to a 6-2 win.

His performance also helped to ensure that Celtic move on in style, and will face Dunfermline Athletic in next month’s final after Sunday’s epic clash was capped with a highly sensational spell in extra time to end an eight-goal thriller.
A third goal from the head of Iheanacho and his side’s fifth of the evening came either side of one by Luke McCowan to break The Buddies’ resistance, after which Benjamin Nygren hit his 20th goal of the season.
O’Neill stated afterwards, “James Forrest coming on, making the first goal, Iheanacho scoring, naturally a major turning point in the game just when St Mirren had gained the advantage just by scoring late, in proceedings going into extra time.
“For us to score so quickly was a blow to them and obviously a major boost to us. We took the goals brilliantly and it was joy from our viewpoint. I couldn’t be more pleased with the team, considering that they could’ve crumbled just in extra time.”
