The clip, which has racked up over two million views on X, shows Mamdani being embraced by Mr. and Mrs. Met in what was intended to be a lighthearted stop at Citi Field.
However, the timing of the encounter has proven to be disastrous, with the Mets failing to record a victory since the couple stepped foot in the stadium on April 15.
