Tottenham vs Brighton betting preview: Can struggling Spurs shock red-hot Seagulls in north London today?

Last weekend’s Premier League results could hardly have gone worse for Tottenham Hotspur. A 1-0 defeat to Sunderland, combined with West Ham’s emphatic 4-0 win over Wolves, saw Spurs slip further into trouble.

The Hammers have now climbed to 17th, leapfrogging Tottenham, who find themselves 18th and inside the relegation zone for the first time this season.

With that in mind, this weekend’s clash with Brighton in north London carries huge significance.

However, it’s far from an ideal fixture for Spurs, who come up against a Brighton side in excellent form, having won three consecutive league matches.

Tottenham vs Brighton betting preview: Can struggling Spurs shock red-hot Seagulls today?

Given Tottenham’s struggles and Brighton’s momentum, it’s no surprise the hosts are underdogs with Sky Bet.

The visitors are priced at 6/5 to claim all three points, while Spurs are available at 19/10. The draw, meanwhile, is set at 14/5. It’s worth noting that the reverse fixture between these sides ended in a 2-2 draw.

Alongside the standard match odds, Sky Bet are offering a range of Price Boosts and Match Stat Specials for this contest.

Among the boosted selections, Lucas Bergvall is priced at 1/1 to commit 2+ fouls, while Pedro Porro is 2/1 to register at least one shot on target.

There’s also a 4/1 boost for both teams to record 2+ shots on target in each half, and Danny Welbeck is 11/1 to score two or more goals.

Bergvall committed four fouls in his last outing, while Porro registered three shots on target most recently. Additionally, Welbeck has enjoyed a strong campaign, scoring 12 league goals, including three braces.
