The battle for supremacy in the NWFL Premiership has intensified following the conclusion of Matchday 15, delivering a mix of certainty in Group A and high-stakes suspense in Group B.
In Group A, the story is already written. Bayelsa Queens have emerged as group leaders, finishing with an impressive 31 points and edging their closest challengers on goal difference. Right behind them, Rivers Angels matched that tally but had to settle for second, while Edo Queens completed a remarkable top three, making it a three-way tie at the summit in terms of points.

All three sides have now secured their places in the Super Six, underlining their dominance and consistency throughout the regular season. The rest of the group has also fallen into place, with mid-table finishes for Ibom Angels,
Adamawa Queens, Ekiti Queens and Heartland Queens.
At the bottom end, the campaign has come to a disappointing conclusion for Pacesetter Queens and Naija Ratels, both of whom have been relegated after struggling to keep pace with the competition.
While Group A offers closure, Group B is serving pure drama. FC Robo Queens currently sit at the top with 32 points, but their position is far from secure.
The chasing pack remains dangerously close, with Nasarawa Amazons still within striking distance.
The race becomes even tighter with Remo Stars Ladies and Abia Angels locked on 24 points, both pushing hard for a place in the Super Six.
Just behind them, Delta Queens and Dannaz Ladies are still very much in contention, ensuring that no position is safe.
Further down the standings, teams like Ahudiyannem Queens, Sunshine Queens, Osun Babes and Confluence Queens continue to fight for pride and survival, with every remaining fixture carrying weight.
With the regular season nearing its conclusion, the NWFL Premiership is living up to expectations—delivering dominance, heartbreak, and a fiercely contested race for glory.
