Former center distance runner Dr. Samuel Oredipe Kolawole has emerged as Bayelsa State Athletics Chairman, he takes over from Mr. Godwin Oghogho, whose has served out his tenure.
The brand new Chairman, a former center distances runner, instant previous Vice-Chairman of the athletics affiliation within the State and present creator and board member of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).
In a letter of appointment endorsed by the Director of Sports activities, Bayelsa State Sports activities Council, Mr. Andrew Aye said that the elevation of Dr. Oredipe, to the place of Chairman adopted his contributions in direction of the event of athletics within the state prior to now 5 years.
Mr. Aye, urged the brand new Athletics Affiliation Chairman to proceed to work with key stakeholders of the sport within the state to realize extra progress.
Dr. Oredipe, a seasoned broadcaster and at the moment the Director-Basic, Bayelsa State Authorities New Media can be the founding father of SamKay Athletics Membership of Yenagoa.
His membership has over time found and nurtured younger Bayelsa athletes in monitor and discipline who had represented the state at nationwide and worldwide ranges.
