Rivers Angels delivered a stellar performance in the Northwest Soccer League Super League, defeating Queens Heartland 5-0. This was one of their most impressive performances of the season at the Adokie Amisimaca Stadium.

Confirm Rivers Angels continued to apply pressure and extended their lead eight minutes later. In the 22nd minute, Abbasiofon Uwa scored from close range after a brilliant pass from Grace Saliou.
In the 24th minute, Heartland Queens goalkeeper Shukurat Bakare made a save from Opala Chimebere’s powerful shot, briefly pulling one back and keeping the score within acceptable limits.
However, Rivers Angels’ attacking firepower quickly returned. In the 33rd minute, Karim calmly slotted home a pass from Abasiofon Uva, scoring her second goal of the match and making it 3-0.
In the 38th minute, Uva scored her second goal, heading in a corner kick from Polynus Ifeoma to extend the lead to 4-0, essentially sealing the victory for Rivers Angels before halftime.
In the second half, Rivers Angels continued their attacking momentum. Lamotarah Karim completed his hat-trick in the 58th minute, capping off his brilliant individual performance and helping the home team secure a resounding 5-0 victory.
This victory highlighted the Rivers Angels’ attacking prowess and teamwork, with Karim and Uva accounting for all five goals and numerous assists.
It was a tough afternoon for the Heartland Queens, whose defense was riddled with holes and unable to keep up with the Rivers Angels’ high-tempo play.
With this resounding win, the Rivers Angels sent a strong signal to their Northwest League (NWFL) rivals and solidified their position as one of the league’s strongest teams, a position that will only become more secure as the season progresses.
