Retired Super Bowl winner Rob Gronkowski has denied working with Turning Point USA after he and his longtime partner Camille Kostek were spotted at the conservative political organization’s tent on election day in New Hampshire.
The former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end took to social media to shoot down false claims that he had any ties to the group founded by the late Charlie Kirk.
‘It has been upsetting and eye opening to see the narratives around my visit to NH on Election Day with Camille,’ read Gronkowski’s statement, which he posted on Instagram. ‘In regard to the images and videos circulating we are not endorsed by or affiliated with Turning Point USA.
‘After stopping at Goffstown high school we crossed the street to greet excited fans yelling out our names before leaving to the next location. We simply took some pictures and I signed some things for them before leaving.
‘We took photos with people across the political spectrum throughout that morning.
‘We cannot control what the media has made of it and running with – so we are here to shut down the false narratives.

‘It’s disappointing to see an innocent moment stripped of context and turned into clickbait. Our message has always been and always will be to treat everyone with kindness and hope you all will do the same.’
No stranger to social media, Gronkowski typically uses his Instagram page to promote his various endeavors with Fox Sports, the podcast he hosts with former Patriots teammate Julian Edelman, or other endorsement deals.
But the post that went viral on election day wasn’t his. Instead, it was shared by Turning Point Action’s Tyler Bowyer, who included videos of Gronkowski signing autographs and posing for pictures at the group’s tent in Goffstown.
‘WOW,’ Bowyer wrote, ‘Rob Gronkowski sightings at New Hampshire polling places! TIME TO GO VOTE.’
The Daily Mail has sought comment from Bowyer and Turning Point Action.
Gronkowski did face significant criticism from liberals after false claims of his supposed ties to Turning Point surfaced on social media.
Some of the confusion could stem from a clip of Gronkowski waving an American flag alongside road signs for Republican candidate Anthony DiLorenzo, who lost to Stefany Shaheen in New Hampshire’s first congressional district on Tuesday.
But Gronkowski made his intentions perfectly clear with local media.
‘It’s just great to see how many people are coming out here to vote,’ he said in a video posted by New Hampshire’s WHDH on Tuesday. ‘It doesn’t matter what party you are voting for — it just matters that you are voting.’
