The highly anticipated fixture is scheduled for 4:00 pm at Ikenne, Ogun State, with Gbagada targeting maximum points against the reigning champions following their impressive 1-1 draw against league leaders Imperial FC last weekend.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Sport247 reports that Akinyelu expressed confidence in his team’s attacking strength, insisting that his players understand Beyond Limits’ possession-based approach and preference for short passes.
“Beyond Limits are a side we know so well. They like to control the game with short passes and hold on to possession, but we already know how we want to play them,” Akinyelu said.
Highlighting his team’s attacking threat, the Gbagada tactician added: “With Femi on the left flank, with Chinedu on the right, I think Beyond Limits should be scared.”
Akinyelu also welcomed Chinedu’s return to the squad, describing his availability as additional attacking strength, while expressing confidence in the scoring form of Mabib, Malik Fatai and Itunu.
The coach further praised Femi Ogunyemi for his outstanding performance against Imperial FC, particularly his defensive contributions and ability to create attacking opportunities.
With Gbagada preparing for another difficult away fixture, Akinyelu believes his players are physically and mentally prepared to challenge the defending champions as they seek to return home with all three points.
