Newly confirmed general-secretary of Confederation of African Football (CAF), Samson Adamu has been hailed as someone who is well-rounded in matters that concern administrative business of the round leather game.
Sports247 reports that this assertion was provided by the acting general-secretary of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme, following Adamu’s confirmation as CAF’s substantive scribe.

Ikpeme noted that the confirmation makes Adamu the first-ever Nigerian to serve as the continental body’s chief operating officer in its 70-year history, which NFF’s acting scribe said is worthy of praise.
He recalled how Adamu started in CAF as the director of communications and has grown steadily through the ranks, mostly due to dint of hard work and strong zeal to always improve himself as a worthy administrator of football.
While wishing Adamu a successful tenure in his highly exalted new post, Ikpeme went on to assure him of unflinching support from the NFF and Nigeria as a whole, with great expectations of better days to come.
“This is, indeed, very good news. I am so happy for Samson Adamu on his confirmation. I know he is going to make Nigeria and Africa proud. He is a highly knowledgeable individual who has never stopped improving himself. He is well-rounded in the business of football administration.
“The NFF is delighted with this appointment, and we will give him all the necessary support as a Member Association under CAF. We wish him tremendous success in the job,” Ikpeme stated in celebration of the son of Dr Amos Adamu.
Sports247 reports further that this formal confirmation of the post Samson Adamu first got in an acting status in March is a step up for the former director of competitions, who had earlier become CAF’s director of events and tournaments.
