Swifties turn on the Seattle Seahawks after viral win post poked fun at Travis Kelce and his superstar wife

When it comes to jabs directed at their favorite artist’s husband, Swifties are going to have to learn to Tolerate It a lot better than they did after the Kansas City Chiefs lost on Sunday Night Football.

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday evening when their offense was stifled by the Seattle Seahawks.

Seattle’s defense held Kansas City to just 213 total yards of offense – with Kelce making up 44 yards of that – in a 20-3 defeat in the Emerald City.

After the win, the Seahawks’ social media admin decided to poke fun at Kelce – considering his marriage to Taylor Swift over the summer was one of the biggest stories in sports and pop culture in 2026.

The team posted an image of the beaded ‘friendship bracelets’ that have become a mainstay at Swift’s concerts. The bracelets in the photo said ‘Seahawks Win’ accompanied by white, green and blue beads. The caption on the post said ‘End Game’ – a reference to a Swift song off her 2017 album, Reputation.

Rather than take the loss in stride, Swifties instantly flooded and harassed the Seahawks’ account for daring to try and be funny.

‘Why do y’all think it’s okay to troll a team by using the spouse of an opposing player? This wouldn’t be acceptable if she wasn’t Taylor Swift. She deserves respect just like every other player’s spouse,’ one Swiftie posted on X.

‘As far as I know, Taylor doesn’t play on any team, so get that s*** outta your mouths already, you f***ing losers,’ one angry Swiftie said.

One Swiftie went so far as to write: ‘oh bet. ACL tear before the season ends watch.’

Another said, ‘Three years and they’re still doing this s***. This is one of the supposed “good teams” too. Weirdos.’

‘I am calling on ALL my fellow Swifties to summon the extensive “Tayvoodoo” and Etsy witches at our disposal before Seattle’s next game (whoever that may be against),’ read a different reply.

One said: ‘Your social media team is misogynistic trash. Last time I checked, Taylor was getting ready to to be inducted into her second hall of fame tomorrow, not on the field playing your team. Travis is a good guy whom most of the NFL respects. Ask your players if this was a good use of your time.’

‘I always knew you guys were classless! You guys are messing with the wrong fandom,’ one Swiftie posted.

Yet another said: ‘I wish every bad thing that can happen to a team on this team. Just pure trash! We shall be there for every misfortune. Just classless and it’s only a regular game with non divisional opponent.’

While many Swift die-hards were out in full voice, there were many other fans of the artist who were telling their fellow Swifties ‘You Need To Calm Down.’

‘Idk I’m a swiftie and I thought it was funny. I’m not taking it as a slight to Taylor… she’s a cultural phenomenon and is going to always be brought into the conversation wherever there’s a connection,’ one fan said.

Another said: ‘The friendship bracelets are diabolical (coming from a major swiftie & seahawks fan I approve).’

‘As a swiftie, the ones getting mad abt smth like this only got into football when Taylor and Travis got together. Sorry not sorry. Go hawks!!!’ a different reply said.

One Swiftie said: ‘Noooo my fellow swifties you’re giving them what they want!!! it’s also funny come on you guys this is apart of the sport!! They aren’t picking on our Taylor I promise but trying to get a rise out of fans? Yes and it worked.’

In reference to the ‘ACL tear’ reply, one Swiftie wrote: ‘As a Swiftie I feel the need to address this, #swifties that have never been into sports and are new to the space need to understand that trash talk exists. It is not personal and it’s part of the game. This is not a jab directed at Taylor or Travis. This reply is worst not ok.’

Neither Kelce nor Swift have publicly commented on the post or the reaction to it.
