NFL fans rip Titans star for bizarre Halloween arrival outfit amid awful season: 'Wouldn't show my face either'

Tennessee Titans star Julius Chestnut was ridiculed online for arriving at their game against the Cleveland Browns in a bold Halloween outfit, despite only winning once this season.

Chestnut strolled into Nissan Stadium on Sunday wearing an all black ensemble and paired it with a terrifying face mask.

The running back strolled in wearing a black top with loose-fitting black trousers, as well as a long, loose black coat with wide, draping sleeves.

Chestnut added a black full-face mask with red markings and silver detailing across the eyes.

Many compared his look to that of Star Wars character Kylo Ren, played by Hollywood star Adam Driver in the most recent trilogy.

But the look did not impress Titans fans when they saw it on social media, with some telling him to focus on the game and improving his team’s record.

One commented: ‘I wouldn’t wanna show myself in that uniform either.’

Another added: ‘Wouldn’t show my face either if I played for the Titans.’

‘Unserious team,’ another quipped in response to a video of Chestnut, who was named the special teams player of the week in the AFC last week, arriving.

The Titans made a strong start to their game against the Browns with running back Tony Pollard scoring two touchdowns in the first half.

It has been an eventful week for the team, however, after defensive tackle Jordan Elliott was released after pulling a gun in the parking lot of the team facility.

Head coach Robert Saleh said it was a ‘terrible lapse in judgment that I recognize as a call for help more than a criminal act.’

The Titans had announced Tuesday that Elliott was released, saying only that it came after his involvement in an unspecified incident at the team’s facility five days earlier.

Elliott had a gun in his car and went to the parking lot to retrieve it after a dispute with another player, JC Latham.

The NFL prohibits league personnel from taking a firearm to club facilities, stadiums and team hotels and on team planes or buses.
