Charissa Thompson aims brutal dig at ex-husbands during live TV coverage of NFL game

Charissa Thompson sent social media into a frenzy during Thursday Night Football after making a pointed remark about her two ex-husbands.

The hilarious ordeal occurred while Thompson was on duty for Amazon Prime Video for their coverage of the Chicago Bears’ 30-24 win over the New England Patriots.

During the broadcast, the Prime Video panel took part in a lighthearted segment – however, Thompson feared that they were going to go in a very different direction.

The 44-year-old said: ‘I thought you were going to make me rank my ex-husbands – and they’re all bad.’

The unfiltered moment quickly gained traction on social media, with fans praising her self-deprecating humor and willingness to poke fun at her own love life on air.

Thompson has been married twice, first tying the knot at the age of 25 before later opening up about rushing into the marriage at a young age.

Her second marriage came in December 2020 when she married sports agent and former baseball player Kyle Thousand.

However, the union proved short-lived, with Thompson filing for divorce from Thousand in April 2022 after roughly 16 months of marriage.

The popular TV personality has since moved on and has been in a relationship with marketing executive Steven Cundari.

Thompson has regularly stated that she has no intentions to legally remarry or sign marriage paperwork following her two divorces.

However, she did admit that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding made her rethink her own relationship plans.

Speaking to her co-host Erin Andrews, who was also in attendance, on their ‘Calm Down’ podcast, Thompson said: ‘It was magical, it was all the things… and this is the part where we say we’re not going to say too much because these weird headlines come.

‘It was a reminder to all of us – and maybe there is some subliminal part of seeing them get married that makes me want to have a version adjacent to marriage in the commitment ceremony – because watching them get married, I’m like, when you find your person, everything else in the world is right.

‘That night and that week was really a reminder that you can have everything in the world, but if you don’t have the person to share it with then it’s not worth anything.’

In recent months, she has discussed the potential of having a commitment ceremony or an engagement party with marketing executive Cundari.

The pair were set up by LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly – something she previously revealed to the listeners of her podcast.

‘Matthew and Kelly were sick of me dating losers and they were like, “We have a great guy for you.” So they were the matchmakers,’ she explained.

‘It was vetted. I know the social security and the bank account now, so all is right.’
