Fury as winless Miami Dolphins announce they will hike season ticket prices next year: 'Will they increase wins?'

The Miami Dolphins have sparked fan uproar after announcing that they will increase season ticket prices in 2027 – despite their winless start to the current campaign.

The AFC East franchise will raise their prices by three percent next season, with reports claiming the change accounts for an extra regular season home game.

Including preseason, the Dolphins will have a total of 10 home games next season – the same as their current campaign – however nine will be regular season games.

One report notes that a few sections ‘in shade on the home sidelines’ at the Hard Rock Stadium saw their season ticket prices rise slightly higher than three percent.

News of the price hike was met with dismay from Dolphins supporters who felt aggrieved by the decision – given the team’s winless start to the season.

Taking to X to vent their frustrations, one wrote: ‘If only they would increase wins’.

Another noted: ‘Supply increases, so they increase price?’

One furious fan said: ‘They did not offer to lower my season ticket pricing going into this season. In years past they raised prices even when we had less home games – they were able to get away with it then because at least there was excitement.

‘Raising prices in any form now is ill advised’, they continued.

Another said: ‘Do they know it’s not a good time to raise prices with an 0-5 start’.

The Miami Herald reported that the Dolphins have averaged 58,719 fans across their opening two home games of the season, ranking them 31st in the NFL.

Comparatively, last season, the Dolphins had an average of 65,687 fans packed into the Hard Rock Stadium across eight of their home games.

Along with their three divisional rivals (Bills, Jets and Patriots), the Dolphins are set to host Houston, Indianapolis, Philadelphia and Washington – as well as the teams who finish in the same position in the AFC North and NFC South.

In the current campaign, the Dolphins have fallen to defeat against the Raiders, 49ers, Chiefs, Vikings and Bengals amid their search for a first win of the season.

Coming off a bye week, Miami are set to visit the Jets on Sunday in their next game.
