Noni Madueke: We showed a champion spirit
‘Thank you to my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The glory is his,’ matchwinner Madueke told Sky Sports.
‘It was a really tough game. We did it all together. We showed a champion spirit here tonight.
‘We know it’s difficult here. The first half is often cagey. He (Arteta) said hang in there, stick to the gameplan, and go out there, attack the oppositon, be dangerous, be yourself, but defend as well.
‘This game might not have gone the way it did last year. But we have extra belief and mentality now. We can pull it back wherever we go.
‘We had a shock vs Brighton and it was us to regroup and show we can be champions.
‘Without my faith I wouldn’t be the player I am. All glory to God.’
