Everton 0-2 Chelsea: Xabi Alonso's side climb into the top four after Pedro Neto's brilliant brace as they FINALLY keep a clean sheet – but left sweating over Emiliano Martinez's head injury

Chelsea leapt into the Premier League’s top four after a blistering start to the second half helped earn Xabi Alonso’s side all three points at Everton.

Pedro Neto pounced just 47 seconds after the half-time interval then calmly sidefooted home as the clock ticked into stoppage time, to put the game beyond David Moyes’s stubborn Toffees, who have seen their undefeated home record come to an end.

But the Blues have not come away from Merseyside unblemished, with No 1 goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez stretchered off following a sickening head clash with Jarrod Branthwaite at a set piece.
