Manchester City secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Anfield, delivering a dominant performance highlighted by goals from Erling Haaland, Jérémy Doku and Rayan Cherki.
Doku opened the scoring before Haaland extended City’s advantage in the second half. Cherki then completed the victory, giving Pep Guardiola’s side a memorable result away from home.
Haaland continued his excellent form in the Premier League, taking his tally to six goals in six league appearances this season. Cherki also impressed, contributing to City’s attacking threat with his goal and creative play.
Liverpool’s afternoon became even more difficult when Ryan Gravenberch was sent off, leaving the home side with a numerical disadvantage as they attempted to fight their way back into the contest.
The emphatic win underlined Manchester City’s attacking quality and ability to deliver on a major occasion. Liverpool, meanwhile, will need to respond after a disappointing home defeat.
