Mother of Tyreek Hill's estranged wife takes to the stand as bitter divorce trial clouds NFL star's bid to find new team

Tyreek Hill’s mother-in-law has testified in his divorce trial from his estranged wife, Keeta Vaccaro, claiming the couple’s relationship was chaotic.

In court, Alesia Vaccaro testified that she didn’t directly witness the former Dolphins star hit or punch her daughter. However, she described their relationship as ‘tumultuous.’

Alesia was cross-examined for roughly 90 minutes as attorneys continued to present evidence in the case.

This included a baby monitor video that was not allowed to be recorded by the media, where Keeta and Hill could be heard yelling profanities. A loud banging was also heard in the background.

Keeta is seeking damages and accuses Hill of being physically and emotionally abusive – claims the NFL star denies.

In the baby monitor video, Hill stated he wanted a divorce before indicating he was going to get the baby.

Alesia testified that she intervened over fears for the baby’s safety: ‘I walked outside the door, and he was pressed up against her. I went toward them. He pushed me back.’

She continued: ‘He was screaming, hollering, saying bad words and then he was gonna go and get the baby. My first instinct was to protect the baby.’

Alesia says she and her daughter then went into the child’s room and asked Hill not to harm the infant.

While she admits that she didn’t see Hill strike her daughter, Alesia testified that what she saw and heard contributed to her opinion that the relationship was volatile.

Alesia’s testimony comes after multiple days on the stand from Keeta, who detailed multiple alleged encounters where she claims Hill physically assaulted her.

On Thursday, her legal team called an expert witness, a forensic psychologist, who evaluated Keeta and diagnosed her with post-traumatic stress disorder.

Defense attorneys challenged the psychologist’s qualifications on cross-examination, saying she was a hired expert rather than Keeta’s treating physician.

This is not the first time that Hill has been investigated or accused of domestic issues.

In college at Oklahoma State University, Hill pled guilty to domestic assault and battery by strangulation after being accused of assaulting his then-20-year-old girlfriend. He received three years’ probation.

Hill was also investigated for a March 2019 incident when his three-year-old son sustained a broken arm and was accused of a domestic disturbance with Vaccaro in 2024. In both those cases, no charges were filed.

The wide receiver has recently recovered from a severe knee injury he suffered last season and is attempting to find a new NFL team.

He is hoping to return in November after rehab, but could face punishment under the NFL’s personal conduct policy over Vaccaro’s allegations.
