Terry Bradshaw sparks chaos on Fox set as he knocks cup of coffee over fellow NFL analyst: 'You okay, bud?'

Terry Bradshaw caused chaos in the Fox NFL Sunday studio when he knocked a cup of coffee over his colleague then protested his innocence.

Bradshaw was discussing the Denver Broncos’ upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers when his right hand knocked over his drink.

The fluid spilled all over fellow NFL analyst Curt Menefee and his notes on the desk as he jumped back to try and avoid getting soaked.

‘You okay, bud?’ Bradshaw asked as he glanced down to his right to see the mess. ‘Yes,’ Menefeee replied. ‘Speaking of comebacks, I’ll be back.’

As he started trying to frantically clean up he said, ‘Alright, go ahead, keep talking’ as Bradshaw praised Bo Nix for last week’s Broncos comeback against the Los Angeles Rams then moved on to discussing the 49ers’ injury problems.

He concluded his analysis talking about Brock Purdy and the quarterback match-up, eventually picking the 49ers to win while brushing off the spilled coffee that caused chaos next to him.

But as he finished talking, Michael Strahan replied: ‘I’ve never seen you knock your coffee over.’

A defensive Bradshaw insisted: ‘I didn’t do that,’ while Menefee, now back in his seat, asked: ‘What are you like at home?’.

‘I did not do that!’ Bradshaw insisted, pointing at Menefee and passionately saying: “He did that!’

‘How did I knock the coffee over on myself,’ Menefee protested, as Bradshaw claimed: ‘You pulled it’ and Rob Gronkowski joked ‘I’ve never seen you move like that!’.

Fox later cleared up any confusion by sharing slow-motion footage confirming Bradshaw was the culprit, knocking over the cup with his right hand while he was speaking.

Bradshaw, 78, has faced growing questions over whether he will retire after a string of errors in recent weeks.

Fox Sports has not indicated if the long-time analyst will remain with the network beyond the 2026 season, but as the four-time Super Bowl champion told Sports Business Radio in June, he has no plans to retire.

‘Retirement is not something that… I mean, I may not be with Fox. That would be their call, not mine,’ Bradshaw said. ‘But I would still be speaking, but if not doing that, I’ll still work the bourbon trail.

Bradshaw, now 78, has insisted he has no plans to retire from his FOX NFL Sunday role

‘[Reverend] Billy Graham said that the day that you retire is the day you start dying,’ Bradshaw said. ‘I do believe a lot of people, when they stop using their brain and keep their thought processes moving and advancing, I do think, for whatever reason, I believe you age, and people end up dying.

‘I mean, people die within a year after retirement. So I don’t want to do that. I see myself staying fully active right up to the end, whenever that is.’

Bradshaw has previously mentioned the possibility of retirement as early as 2008, when he predicted he’d be done by 2011. That forecast has obviously changed a bit.  And his co-hosts, including Menefee, don’t see him going anywhere any time soon.

‘It’s never gonna happen,’ Menefee told the Daily Mail in late 2025. ‘They’re going to be carrying him out in a hearse. He is not leaving the show.

‘I grew up watching Terry Bradshaw and Howie Long,’ Menefee said, adding: ‘For me to be beside these guys who are not only icons, but guys that I worshiped as a fan growing up has been absolutely amazing.’
