Arsenal would need to stump up €100million (£85.7m) to prize Kenan Yildiz away from Juventus, according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Athletic claims the Gunners have developed a serious interest in signing Yildiz, who is developing a reputation as one of the best wingers in Europe.
Yildiz has recorded 27 goals and 21 assists in 132 games for the Serie A giants – an impressive return given he only turned 21 in May.
And now Arsenal have learned they would need to break the bank in order to convince Juventus to part ways with Yildiz next summer.
If Arsenal were to sign Yildiz for €100m, the Turkey international would become the second most expensive signing in their history.
Declan Rice is the most expensive transfer in Arsenal’s history, having spent an initial €116m (£100m) to sign him from West Ham United in July 2023.
The second name on the list is Bruno Guimaraes after he joined the Premier League champions from Newcastle United for €87.5m (£75m) in the summer.
Arsenal missed out on marquee signing in the summer
Yildiz was one of several forwards considered by Arsenal in the summer transfer window as they looked to make a marquee signing up top.
Mikel Arteta’s side also pursued ambitious deals for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez and Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid.
Before Morgan Rogers completed his €138million (£117m) move to Chelsea, Arsenal were in dialogue with Aston Villa over a potential deal.
While Arsenal came up short in their attempts to sign a star forward, they have made a strong start to the season nonetheless.
Arteta’s side have won seven of their eight games in 2026-27, though they were heavily beaten at Brighton and Hove Albion last time out.
Arsenal will look to return to winning ways when they entertain Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday, 10 October following the international break.
Yildiz meanwhile is currently sidelined with a broken foot and has therefore missed Turkey’s Nations League clashes across September and October.
