Chicago Bears star Luther Burden III went viral for his expletive touchdown celebration on Monday Night Football.
The Bears faced the Philadelphia Eagles at Soldier Field in Week 3 without their starting quarterback Caleb Williams.
But that didn’t stop Chicago’s offense from opening the scoring as Burden burst into the end zone for the first touchdown of the game.
Backup signal caller Case Keenum offloaded the ball to the wide receiver who refused to go down under the pressure from the Eagles’ defense, barging his way through multiple opponents for the eight-yard touchdown.
However, the wide out got carried away with his celebration, suffering an awkward hot mic moment on the ESPN broadcast.
As the cameras caught Burden wildly celebrating, he was overheard saying: ‘That’s how we do it n****.’

The moment quickly went viral among football fans on social media with one claiming that Burden would be ‘getting a HUGE fine’ from the league.
‘LUTHER BURDEN YOU CANT SAY THAT TO THE CAMERA LMFAOOOO,’ another wrote on X.
‘Luther Burden with the strongest N word on national television,’ added a third.
Another posted: ‘Luther burden dropping an “N” bomb right into the camera on Monday night football. Wild times.’
Burden and the Bears were forced to turn to journeyman Keenum under center on Monday after suffering multiple blows to their quarterback room last week.
Starter Williams left Week 2’s 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings with a right hamstring injury before backup Tyson Bagent was placed in the NFL concussion protocol midweek.
Bagent was expected to take most of the first-team reps in practice in Williams’ absence. Instead, Keenum stepped up for the Week 3 matchup.
The 38-year-old Keenum has 66 career starts, but he hasn’t thrown a pass in a regular-season game since December 24, 2023, for Houston against Cleveland.
