Chelsea ‘keep an eye’ on Khusanov
Chelsea are tracking Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov with an eye to a January transfer move, with Xabi Alonso’s club one of four that are keeping an eye on the Uzbek ahead of the mid-season transfer window, CaughtOffside reports.
Khusanov recently signed a new five-year deal with City and has started three of the club’s first five Premier League matches of the season. However, two of these starts came at right-back, suggesting the door may be opened for him to leave having failed to establish himself in his favoured role under Enzo Maresca.
Man City sporting director Hugo Viana recently talked up the 22-year-old, explaining that he will become one of the best centre-backs in the world.
Liverpool consider bringing academy star Morton home
Liverpool are weighing up the possibility of bringing midfielder Tyler Morton back to the club after 18 months with Ligue 1 side Lyon, TeamTalk claims.
The Englishman has established himself as a starter with the French club, with Reds manager Andoni Iraola said to have been ‘wowed’ by the player’s progress.
As many as seven Premier League clubs have been watching the development of the player, with Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Newcastle, Sunderland and Everton all tracking him.
Liverpool retain a 20% sell-on clause.
Bayern Munich target January move for Barcelona star Olmo
Bayern Munich are making a contingency plan in case they sell either Jamal Musiala or Michael Olise, with Dani Olmo of Barcelona lined up as an alternative, Sky Sports reports.
The 28-year-old World Cup winner already has impressive Bundesliga experience with RB Leipzig, where he spent a four-year spell.
Barcelona have put a €70m price tag on the attacking midfielder.
