Andros Townsend had a frightening experience in Thailand after a pitch roller ran over his legs during a football match.
The former England international was warming up at half-time when the incident happened. Thankfully, he escaped serious injury and later came on as a substitute for PT Prachuap in their 3-0 win over Pattani FC.
Townsend later joked about the incident on Instagram, writing:
“Turns out Stoke away wasn’t so bad after all.”
The 35-year-old has played for several English clubs, including Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Everton, and earned 13 caps for England.
