Enyimba FC players and officials made a special stop on their way to Gombe to celebrate with forward Samaila Bello and his wife following the birth of their child.
The team took time out of their journey to share in the couple’s joy and celebrate the arrival of the newest member of the Bello family.
The moment provided a warm break from the team’s preparations as Enyimba travelled to Gombe for their Euromatch 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Three clash against Doma United.
Doma United head into the encounter as league leaders with six points from two matches, while Enyimba are 17th after playing just one game.
Enyimba’s only league match so far ended in a 2-1 away defeat to Niger Tornadoes.
Their scheduled match last weekend was postponed because their opponents were involved in a CAF club competition.
Enyimba will now look to return to winning ways when they face Doma United in Gombe on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
