New York Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. generated plenty of online attention for his outfit as he attended the US Open on Monday night.
Chisholm was one of numerous Yankees in attendance to watch Coco Gauff beat Iva Jovic in the Round of 16.
Gauff claimed a 6-1, 6-4 victory on Arthur Ashe to move a step closer in her bid to reclaim her home grand slam, that she won in 2023.
Aaron Judge and his wife were also in attendance, pictured in a suite, while George Lombard Jr, Ben Rice, Cody Bellinger, Jose Caballero, Clarke Schmidt and Spencer Jones were also at the match, taking advantage of the Yankees off day.
But Chisholm’s arrival immediately raised eyebrows as fans spotted he was wearing a t-shirt that read: ‘I am a virgin’.
Chisholm partnered the grey t-shirt with black baggy cargo shorts and a Yankees hat, along with a blue and white striped sweater draped over his shoulders.

‘That shirt is ….something,’ one fan wrote, as another commented ‘that fit is truly horrendous’.
Others also mocked him wearing a Yankees hat away from the baseball field, likening it to a musician wearing their own band’s t-shirt.
Numerous Yankees fans were unimpressed, with a host declaring that they ‘can’t wait until he’s off this team’, with free agency on the horizon.
Chisholm signed a deal until the end of 2026 in January 2025 to avoid arbitration and keep him under team control this season.
His current deal is valued at $10.2 million for the 2026 season, but he has had a tough year despite making lofty claims he was aiming for a historic ’50/50′ season (50 home runs and 50 stolen bases) before the season. At this stage, he has just 19 home runs to go with 40 stolen bases.
He recently told NJ.com: ‘I want to stay a Yankee, by any means kind of,’ as he revealed he has had no negotiations since spring.
Asked if he felt free agency pressure had impacted his performances, he said: ‘I wouldn’t say so.
The free agency, I feel like what I did last year and then this year, not even coming close … I think that’s what really got to me more than free agency.’
After their night out at the US Open, the Yankees begin a three-game home series against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night with captain Judge returning to the lineup for the first time since May 31.
‘He’s our captain, best player in baseball,’ pitcher Max Fried said. ‘To have him back in the lineup is obviously a huge boost. We’re definitely a better team when he’s in the lineup.’
