Plateau United head coach Gbenga Ogunbote has called on the club’s supporters to remain patient and continue backing the team throughout the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season, Completesports.com reports.
The Peace Boys secured their first win of the campaign on Sunday, edging Kwara United 1-0 in a Matchday 2 encounter at the New Jos Stadium.
Sam Pam scored the decisive goal 10 minutes after the restart to hand Plateau United all three points.

Ogunbote Rallies Supporters
Ogunbote expressed confidence that the team’s hard work will ultimately pay off, urging supporters to maintain their faith in the players during both challenging and positive periods of the season.
“The supporters should continue to believe in us during the soft and difficult times of the season,” Ogunbote told the club’s media.
“They will definitely be proud of our hard work at the end of the 2026-27 season.”
Plateau United will look to build on their victory when they travel to Minna to face Niger Tornadoes in their Matchday 3 fixture this weekend.
