Axel Disasi is closing in on a loan move to Crystal Palace from Chelsea following talks.
It would see the 28-year-old Frenchman spend time with yet another Premier League club, after previously being loaned to Aston Villa and West Ham. The Hammers may have succeeded in signing him permanently this summer had they not been relegated to the Championship.
Negotiations between Palace and Chelsea have centred on a straightforward loan with no option or obligation. The Selhurst Park club will pay a fee and are expected to cover his wages if finalised.
Chelsea have already signed Maxence Lacroix from Palace in this window for £52million.
Disasi has been surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge for some time, and has been training with the group separated from Xabi Alonso’s main squad at Cobham.
He impressed while on loan with West Ham last term despite them failing to avoid the drop.

Disasi is unlikely to be the only centre back on his way out of Chelsea over the next week or so.
Benoit Badiashile is also in line to leave on a £3.4m loan to Napoli with a £23m option. Tosin Adarabioyo has interest from clubs in England and Europe, and Mamadou Sarr likewise has options.
