ESPN analyst Matt Miller has reportedly been charged in relation to the near-fatal car crash that saw him lose his left arm in June.
The NFL Draft analyst, who was placed on leave by the network last month, is facing a misdemeanor charge for failing to drive on the correct side of the road, resulting in the accident.
The 43-year-old was charged with the count in Jasper County, Missouri, on Monday, according to court documents viewed by The Daily Mail. Miller is now due in Jasper County Circuit Court on September 21.
The Class A misdemeanor can carry up to one year in jail if convicted as well as a $2,000 fine.
Miller was airlifted to Mercy Hospital with ‘significant injuries,’ which included multiple fractures and broken ribs, following the crash on June 17.
Local news outlet KOAM reported at the time that Miller was driving a 2023 Bronco on Missouri Route 96 when he crossed the center line and struck a semi tractor trailer.

The other driver, a 28-year-old man from Springfield, was not injured in the collision.
Doctors performed life-saving surgery on Miller but his left arm was lost as a result of the horrific collision.
While announcing that he would be ‘stepping away indefinitely’ and had been placed on leave by ESPN in July, he shared that the surgery to remove his left arm was successful and that medics remain hopeful that he will eventually be able to have a prosthetic replacement fitted.
He added that the femur and patella surgeries he underwent were also successful and his left leg was able to be saved.
However, after he revealed his June 17 crash and the horrifying extent of his injuries, accusations against Miller began surfacing.
While a GoFundMe was launched to help Miller cover medical care, transportation, prosthetics and ‘countless unexpected expenses,’ according to organizers, an existing Reddit thread containing accusations against him began drawing attention.
In a number of online accusations published by Awful Announcing, Miller was alleged to have failed to pay out winners from his charity fantasy football leagues.
He was also accused of ghosting individuals who paid him hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars for football scouting lessons. Some of the allegations date back a decade, when Miller was still working for Bleacher Report.

The Missouri Attorney General office launched a consumer-protection probe into Miller in July following the allegations.
The AG’s office did not comment on specific aspects of its investigation but did ask for people to come forward with information.
‘The Missouri Attorney General’s Office encourages consumers who believe they have been misled to contact us,’ the office wrote in a statement to USA Today. ‘Attorney General [Catherine] Hanaway takes consumer protection very seriously, and we will work diligently to uncover the facts.’
An ESPN spokesperson declined to speak with The Daily Mail on the subject at the time. Miller and the AG’s office did not respond to requests from The Daily Mail.
