Gaza Board of Peace outlines latest roadmap

The Gaza Board of Peace has outlined its latest road map for the territory.

In a statement posted on X, the board affirmed that Israel “shall fully complete, without delay,” all its commitments enshired in the peace deal which was signed in October, “particularly the cessation of military operations”.

It stated that Hamas and all other Palestinian factions “agree that all civilian governance and security functions in Gaza shall be handed over” to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG).

“They also assert that NCAG shall enjoy full independence in carrying out its responsibilities and that the factions shall not interfere in NCAG affairs during the transitional period,” the board added, saying that the body “shall maintain the continuity of civilian institutions and public services” after fully assuming its responsibilities in Gaza.
