The chief executive of Football Coaches Association of African Nations (FCAAN), Danny Nazzal has issued a pledge on behalf of the body that they will not relent in their efforts to ensure that Nigerian tacticians are equipped with modern knowledge in the round leather game.
Sports247 reports that Nazzal gave the pledge after the association formally certified 72 coaches during its D-License Level III course, which was conducted under FCAAN’s new curriculum.

Nazal pointed out that the course, which attracted seven female coaches among many men, in the highest number a women participants recorded for any FCAAN certification in Nigeria, was a rewarding experience whose good intentions will soon be seen from practicial experiences.
He noted further that many of the participants said they were inspired to attend the course due to the growing impact of FCAAN-trained coaches in Nigeria and the opportunity it accorded them to get fresh ideas on how to develop players better and create more lasting effects with their respetive teams.
The head of FCAAN’s media unit, Femi Amusan and Nigeria’s women’s under-17 national team, Flamingos’ coach, Hakeeem Busari, who is the body’s lead instructor, both spoke in glowing terms about the course, which the cadet squad’s gaffer said evokes a new era in Nigerian football.
While Busari further declared that he was happy seeing more coaches turn up to embrace updated knowledge and continuous learning, Nazzal said it is another major step forward for FCAAN, then went on to stress the association’s commitment to regularly educating tacticians.
Nazzal further pointed out that the course was a confirmation of the expansions that FCAAN is gaining in Nigeria and other African countries, even as he disclosed that emphasis in football’s technical aspects is shifting towards inclusivity, professionalism and modern tactical training.
“FCAAN will stop at nothing to ensure that coaches are adequately equipped with modern knowledge that will give them a competitive edge over their peers,” Nazzal said, while adding that the certification adds to the body’s growing footprint in coach development across Africa.
