FootballTransfers runs through the latest Manchester United transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Pedro Neto, Manu Kone and Jadon Sancho.
Neto targeted
Man Utd are the latest club to be linked with Chelsea winger Pedro Neto.
The Red Devils and Chelsea have concluded plenty of business over the last couple of years, including Alejandro Garnacho’s switch to Stamford Bridge last season and Andrey Santos moving in the other direction to Old Trafford in 2026.
Chelsea aren’t rushing to sell Neto, but could be tempted if a big offer comes in, according to The Daily Mail.
Suitors in Saudi Arabia mean that the Blues have upped their asking price to over €100 million.
Young goalkeeper recruited
United have completed a deal to bring highly rated goalkeeper Kit Margetson to the club, with the move subject to registration.
The 19-year-old joins after progressing through Swansea City’s academy, where he spent several years developing from the under-15 age group onwards.
Margetson gained valuable senior experience during the 2025/26 season while on loan at Connah’s Quay Nomads. He made 34 appearances, recorded 10 clean sheets and played a key role in helping the Welsh club secure qualification for European competition.
Kone wants United move
United have been linked with France midfielder Manu Kone for the majority of the summer and there appears to be movement in a deal as the player has reportedly agreed personal terms with the club, while he is campaigning for the move himself.
The Roma midfielder is a wanted man and was most recently the subject of a €40m bid from Real Madrid that was rejected.
The Italian giants will not let their star midfielder go for cheap and will demand between €50m and €50m.
The Mirror reports that Man Utd are preparing an offer worth €49.74m.
The reason for the delay is that United are mulling over the type of midfielder they want to sign next, having already brought in Youri Tielemans and Santos this summer.
Sancho to the Middle East?
Jadon Sancho has received a lucrative contract proposal from Qatari outfit Al Rayyan, according to FootMercato.
The former England international, who departed Old Trafford on a free transfer earlier this summer, is understood to have attracted interest from the eight-time Qatar Stars League champions.
Sancho failed to live up to expectations at Man Utd following his €85m switch from Borussia Dortmund five years ago and has spent the last few years back on loan at BVB, then Chelsea, then Aston Villa.
Serie A sides battles for Zirkzee
Both Juventus and FC Como are keen to bring Joshua Zirkzee back to Serie A.
The Dutch international enjoyed a positive spell at Bologna before joining United in 2024, and both Juventus and Como believe he could rediscover that form in Italy.
Initial contact has been made over a potential deal, although Juventus would prefer a loan with an option or obligation to buy rather than paying United’s reported €30m-€35m asking price upfront, according to Italian journalist Matteo Moretto.
Zirkzee fell down the pecking order at United last season following the acquisitions of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
