Influencer and boxing star Jake Paul believes he could easily transition into the NFL months after he suffered a broken jaw in a bout with Anthony Joshua.
Paul, who admitted in May that his boxing career was ‘most definitely in doubt’ due to his injuries, claims that multiple NFL teams have expressed interest in adding him to their roster.
‘I have a couple of teams and coaches that I’ve already talked to that are interested in bringing me onto the team,’ Paul said during a recent interview with Front Office Sports.ย
Paul went on to add that there’s a lot of ‘mediocrity’ in the NFL and that the league has ‘not good athletes.’
While Paul says he would ideally play as a wide receiver, it’s not clear exactly how NFL teams would use the boxer, who stands 6-foot-1 and has fought in weight classes below 230 pounds.
‘I have better hands than them, I’m faster than them, I’m stronger than them, I work harder than them,’ Paul said. ‘Really, all it’s going to take is me, after boxing, practicing some routes.’

Paul added that transitioning to the NFL, for him, is ‘really going to be quite easy.’
As for which team he’d want to play for, the Cleveland native would hope to line up for his hometown Browns.
‘I’ve been a Browns fan my whole entire life. My mom is a die-hard Browns fan, and I think they could use some good receivers over there,’ Paul said.
Paul last played organized football at Westlake High School, a program that produced former NFL players JaQuan Hardy and Kevin Houser.ย
Transitioning to football would still provide Paul an outlet to play a violent sport if he decides to move on from boxing.
The influencer owns a 12-2 record in the sport, with wins over the likes of former MMA fighters like Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley.
His two losses came at the hands of English boxers Tommy Fury and the aforementioned Joshua.
