Formula 1 returns to action today as the Hungaroring hosts the Hungarian Grand Prix. According to Sky Bet, Ferrari are the odds-on favourites at 4/5 to score the most points in Mogyorod.
It comes as a surprise that Ferrari head into the weekend as the best-backed team. They trail the Constructors’ Championship to Mercedes by 73 points, who have claimed eight victories and 13 podium finishes so far this season.
Mercedes’ drivers have also enjoyed outstanding campaigns. Kimi Antonelli leads the Drivers’ Championship with six wins and eight podium finishes, while teammate George Russell sits third in the standings after securing two victories and five podium finishes.
Hungarian GP: Will favourites Mercedes cruise to the most points, or will there be an upset?
Meanwhile, if you’re backing a different team to score the most points today, McLaren are second favourites at 11/10, while Mercedes are further back as the third favourites at 15/2.
Ferrari currently sit second in the Constructors’ Championship, with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc occupying second and fourth in the Drivers’ standings respectively.Β
The question now is whether Hamilton and Leclerc can deliver the performance needed to outscore the rest of the field. We’ll find out when the lights go out at the Hungaroring.
Finally, McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been solid without being spectacular this season, with the pair claiming two podium finishes apiece. Norris starts Sunday’s race on pole.
