An offensive lineman with the Arizona Cardinals plans to report to training camp just days after being arrested on gun charges in his native Ontario, Canada.
Isaiah Adams, 25, is back in Arizona and plans to report to the team facility in Glendale for the opening of camp on Wednesday, his agent has confirmed to The Daily Mail. ESPN was the first to report Adams’ presence at Cardinals training camp.ย
Adams is charged with ‘Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime’ and ‘Possess Restricted/Prohibited Firearm,’ according to Monday’s press release from Durham Regional Police.
The Daily Mail has sought comment from Adams’ attorney.ย
Another man and two women were also arrested as part of the investigation, including Adams’ 27-year-old sister Allyson, who faces the same charges as the third-year right guard.
According to Durham police (DRPS), an investigation was concluded Friday into allegations of firearm possession and drug trafficking. A search of one vehicle revealed more than three kilograms of suspected fentanyl.

A subsequent search of a home led to the arrest of another woman and a fourth suspect turned himself in to police on Sunday.
Suspects Jaelin Gamble and Natasha Rotta are both charged with ‘Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl).’
All four suspects were subject to a recent bail hearing.
The Cardinals did release a statement on Adams’ arrest earlier this week.
‘We are aware of the situation involving Isaiah Adams,’ read the statement. ‘Out of respect for the process, we will refrain from commenting further at this time.’
A third-round pick out of Illinois, Adams started five games as a rookie and another 11 last season.
However, rookie Chase Bisontis is expected to compete for the right guard job in camp.
The Cardinals are coming off a 3-14 season and are in a rush to bolster their offensive line after drafting Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love with the third pick in April’s NFL Draft.
