Charlie Woods snaps at fan in fiery on-course moment… a day after he was caught swearing on hot mic

Charlie Woods, the 17-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods, had a fiery clash with a fan on Wednesday, moments after being caught in an X-rated hot mic moment.

The teenager endured a frustrating morning that saw his bid to win the 2026 U.S. Junior Championship at Saucon Valley Country Club come to an abrupt end.

After bogeying the first hole of a 14-for-2 playoff for the final pair of match-play berths, Charlie’s dreams were crushed after carding a +5 over two days of action.Β

During that par-five first hole, after two competitors had secured birdies, the 17-year-old went for the green in two from 270 yards out – but fell 25 yards short.

As he attempted to hit his third shot, a fan took a photo during his backswing – with the shutter sound clearly heard as Charlie was going through the motions.Β

A video of the incident has since gone viral and captured the moment that the teenager turned around to the fan, asking: ‘Really, dude?’

Another person behind the camera could be heard saying: ‘Right in his swing’.Β Β

Following the awkward moment, Woods was unable to convert his chip for birdie.

Tiger’s son finished with a bogey – meaning that Eli Wessel of Indianapolis and Hudson Kutchma of Westfield, Indiana made it to the 64-person match-play bracket.

The unfortunate, viral moment came just one day after Woods dropped an X-rated hot mic moment, as he teed off on the par-three eleventh hole.Β

In another viral video, Charlie was seen screaming out: ‘Oh, f*** you’ following his tee shot.Β

In the end, this particular instance didn’t have a major impact on the 17-year-old, who went on to make par on the hole.Β

The viral moments came just days after heΒ failed to qualify for this year’s US Amateur Championship – the leading annual tournament for amateur golfers in the United States.Β

He teed it up at Ohio State University’s Scarlet Course last week in an attempt to secure his place in the tournament field.Β

However, Charlie, who has committed to Florida State University when he finishes high school next year, struggled in the qualifying event.Β

He shot a five-over 76 to miss out on qualifying by six shots, according to Golf Digest. A total of 13 qualifiers and two alternates emerged from the Scarlet Course site.Β

It marks the latest blow for Charlie, who has struggled recently to string together a series of promising results in his young career.Β

Charlie has participated in seven ranked events this season, where his best finish was 19th place at the Junior Orange Bowl International back in January.

Aside from that event, Charlie is yet to secure another top-25 finish this season.
