The US announced on Tuesday that they will be entering a trade deal with Jordan which would remove barriers for US exporters and provide new access for critical US industries.Β
According to a statement from the White House, Jordan will remove non-tariff trade barriers and expand market access for US goods, including agricultural products and motor vehicles, as part of the deal.
This comes amid renewed Iranian strikes on Jordan, which killed two US military personnel on Friday.
