A lady’s comment on social media has captured the fears of many Nigerians following the alleged rape case involving popular content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, known as Odogwu of Asaba. The case, which happened on June 1, 2026, in Asaba, Delta State, has left people worried that money could kill the matter instead of justice being served.

If he has enough money or people to back him, they will settle the case. Her words have sparked more talks about the death of 20-year-old Favour Agbro. Police say Odogwu allegedly invited Favour to Asaba with promises of teaching her content creation. Instead, he took her to a hotel where he allegedly raped her. Favour recorded a video narrating her ordeal before taking a poisonous substance and dying days later. Ogbonna was arrested in mid-July 2026 after her family petitioned the police.
Videos of Ogbonna begging Favour’s family for forgiveness and settlement have also spread online. Many fear that the case, like some others before it, may end quietly if powerful people or money get involved.
