People in Ondo town received a big shock on Monday, 13 July 2026, when the body of an unidentified woman was discovered near the Barracks Road GRA roundabout in Ondo West Local Government Area.
The woman’s body was beheaded, and both her hands and legs were cut off. Residents who saw the scene described it as very terrible. The body was said to have been dumped there, and some reports mentioned it was found in a suitcase.ѕєє тнє ν!∂єσ нєяє
The Ondo State Police Command quickly responded after they received a distress call around 9:40 a.m. on that Monday. Police officers rushed to the spot, confirmed the lifeless body, and took it away. DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and said the command has started a full investigation to find out who the woman was, how she was killed, and who did it.
As of now, no arrest has been made, and the police are still gathering information. Many people fear this could be a case of ritual killing, especially as it happened around election time when such crimes sometimes increase.
