A very shocking and painful incident happened in Diaso, in the Central Region of Ghana. A jealous boyfriend attacked an 18-year-old okada rider with a machete because his girlfriend sat on the rider’s lap.
The victim, Yaw Boakye, is an 18-year-old commercial motorcyclist (okada rider). The suspect, known as Enoch or Awoye, got angry after seeing his girlfriend, Perpetual (a food vendor), sit on Yaw Boakye’s lap at an okada station. This misunderstanding led to the attack.ѕєє тнє ν!∂єσ нєяє
Reports say the incident happened on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 (today). Yaw Boakye was returning from his farm when Enoch allegedly blocked him with a vehicle, nearly knocking him down. Enoch then brought out a machete and attacked him, warning him to stay away from his girlfriend. Thankfully, the machete did not cause very deep or life-threatening wounds, but Yaw Boakye still got injured and needed medical care.
The video of the aftermath is now trending on social media. People are warning others to be careful with jealousy, especially in relationships.
