England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo proved he is all class after answering a London Marathon hero’s call for a World Cup ticket.
Jordan Adams, who ran this year’s race with a 25kg fridge strapped to his back to help raise awareness for dementia, put out a request for a ticket to watch the Three Lions take on Argentina in the semi-final on Wednesday.

Adams’ heartbreaking family struggles with dementia
Adams has tragically lost 12 family members to dementia, including his mother, Geraldine.
She was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in 2010 at age 47 and passed just six years later.
Shortly after Geraldine’s passing, Jordan and his brother, Cian, later learned they too carried the MAPT mutation, which meant both will almost certainly be diagnosed with FTD.
Unfortunately for the Adams brothers, they are likely to become symptomatic in their early 40s and pass away 10 years after they are officially diagnosed with FTD.
The pair have since combined forces to become known as the ‘FTD Brothers’, where they have gone on to raise nearly £2million for dementia research.
The Mainoo man
Given the elder Adams brother is 31, he is keen to ‘live life in the fast lane’, which is why he hopped on a plane to Atlanta in the hope of securing a ticket.
His request has since been viewed over two million times on Instagram.
And luckily for the Redditch native, Mainoo was one of those views.
“I’ve got you brother,” Mainoo wrote in the comment section.
Mainoo later got in touch with Adams on Instagram to help organise a ticket, an act which left him ‘speechless’.

“I’ve finally arrived in Atlanta ahead of the World Cup semi-final and I’m glad to say I have got a ticket,” Adams said.
“None other than Kobbie Mainoo reached out and offered me a ticket to the game. To be quite honest, I’m quite speechless.
“I can’t believe a current England player in the squad at the World Cup would show that level of kindness. That is unbelievable.”
But Adams’ trip of dreams wasn’t done there, as he confirmed FIFA had got in touch to welcome him as a special guest at the Mercedes-Benz Arena for the match.
Adams also shared he would be collaborating with FIFA on a social media post to help spread more awareness of dementia.
Combined, the official FIFA and World Cup Instagram accounts boast over 74million followers, meaning Adams’ messages about dementia will enjoy an unprecedented reach.

“Thank you to everyone in the community who has shared this post and helped bring alive this dream I’ve had since I was a boy,” Adams said.
“I’m going to the World Cup semi-final. Hopefully there will be no f****** Messi in New York. Come on England!”
